Currency:
The unit of currency used in St. Lucia is the Eastern Caribbean Dollar (EC$) issued by the Eastern Central Caribbean Bank and convertible from most major currencies. The EC$ dollar is fixed to the US dollar at the rate of US$1.00 = EC$2.70 It is usually easier to take US dollars to St Lucia and convert these to EC$ once on island and vice versa to spend remaining EC$ or convert back to US$.
